![]() I've ran reports on the SAME people using instant checkmate and there was significantly less info on their platform. ![]() Most people don't give a rats ass about their privacy and have a ridiculous amount of personal info on the internet (usually they aren't aware of this).Įdit- since i've been asked, Instant checkmate just doesn't have as big of a database as the others. It helps if the person you're looking into has a lot of records though, sometimes i run into people that are extremely off grid and do their best to protect their privacy which makes the background check sites slightly less useful. This is usually stuff like financial records, marriage records, criminal history, and even random stuff like dating profiles lol. Once you're sure it's them, you can get a full report on all the info that is available about them. Most of the time a full name, address, or social media handle will be enough to identify a person. I've had a chance to use them all in the last 2 years or so for my job, and can vouch for them (with the exception of Instant checkmate which was the most inconsistent out them all). Look at this list of sites that you can use to perform background checks. OP 95% of these sites are terrible and don't have a big enough database resulting in lackluster reports for most people. Have used these on several individuals and overall they work very well and gave a report on pretty much all of the info I was looking for. So I ask you - which background checks have you used and which one would you say is the best overall?ĮDIT: I ended up trying several tools. I would just like to know which one of them is considered to be the best so I can make a decision and find a suitable tenant. Seems like none of the free options can give me what i want but that isn't a massive problem as I am willing to pay. I've done some browsing myself on reddit and other sites already and seen a few names constantly pop up such as truth finder, spokeo, judy records, and instant checkmate. Some people seem nice but I am searching for a longterm tenant and as such I would like to make sure that they are the right type of person to live in my property, so I'd like to do a background check (to check for things like a criminal record, credit score, even social media presence, etc). I am getting a half dozen new applicants every day and having to take time off work to do showings. ![]() Before using Instant Checkmate, make sure you review the guidelines of what you can and can’t do with the information found on its site.I am a new landlord currently going through the process of looking for a tenant and it has been extremely daunting, to say the least. Instant Checkmate is not a consumer reporting agency, and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) prohibits using Instant Checkmate to look up any information governed by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). ![]() Strict guidelines dictate how and why you can use a public records search service. You can look up the following information and more using Instant Checkmate: A subscription gives you access to unlimited reports for as long as you are enrolled. Once you have a match, you purchase a membership subscription to access the report. Instant Checkmate asks you questions about the person as it searches databases to narrow results down to the right match. Instant Checkmate lets you look up a person’s information by typing in their name, age and location in the search console. ![]()
